BACKGROUND
Before the Islamic Revolution in 1979, there were only a handful of Christians from a Muslim background in Iran. It is believed that today, a few million Iranians have converted to Christianity. More Iranians—both inside Iran and in the diaspora outside—have become Christians than in the previous 1400 years put together. Iran is a young nation with a population of over 80 million among which 70% are under 40 years of age. Today, Iran is one of the top five nations persecuting Christians. However, God is pouring out his grace and love upon Iran in an extraordinary way and the result is flourishing underground house churches that are growing amid great persecution.
OUR OPPORTUNITY
As we celebrate this growth, we also see the tremendous need to invest in the theological education of the emerging Iranian leaders and ministers inside and outside Iran who are at the frontline of this great movement. While many are turning to Christ, only a handful of ministers understand the Bible in the breadth, length, height, and depth needed to lead the church to maturity. This can not only hinder church growth but can also lead to distortion of the gospel. The Iranian Church needs education, training, and discipleship based on sound biblical theology which is the pillar of a healthy body of Christ.
VISION
Our vision is to see Iran transformed through Bible-based theological education, training, and discipleship of its Christian ministers so they can lead the Iranian church to maturity. Our vision is this: The Kingdom of our God and Father through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Light and Savior of the world, comes into the hearts of Iranians.
MISSION: 3ε
- EVANGELIZING
Our mission is to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. The harvest is plenty
among the oppressed and persecuted Iranians.
- EDUCATING
- We provide emerging leaders and ministers a thorough biblical, theological, and ministerial education and training.
- Every Iranian converted to Christianity in Iran has never been in a church. Since Christianity is banned in Iran, Christian TV channels and social media have replaced the traditional church building and brought Christ Church into private houses. Although satellite dishes are prohibited and internet connection is poor, millions of Iranians are estimated to watch satellite Christian TV channels and follow social media.
- The teaching resources are the Bible, textbooks, video lectures, journals, articles, and media galleries.
- EXPANDING
Our mission is to expand our God’s Kingdom by sending the trained disciples for the Great Commission: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matt. 28:18-20).
